About the role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Cost Estimator to support our fast-paced Handyman division. This role works directly with our sales team to develop accurate, well-scoped estimates—ensuring projects are priced correctly, clearly communicated, and set up for success from the start.

You’ll play a critical role behind the scenes—turning photos, notes, and client requests into clean, actionable estimates that our team and clients can rely on. A key part of this role is building and maintaining a consistent, reliable pricing structure across all work.

What you'll do

  • Prepare 25–35 estimates per week in collaboration with the sales team
  • Review project details, photos, and notes to build accurate scopes of work
  • Price labor, materials, and subcontractor work with consistency and attention to detail
  • Respond to website and CRM inquiries by generating estimates from descriptions and submitted photos
  • Ensure all estimates are clear, complete, and aligned with company standards
  • Communicate with sales, project managers, and field teams to confirm scope and assumptions
  • Create, build, and continuously refine our Price Book to ensure consistent pricing across all projects
  • Maintain and update pricing within Housecall Pro and internal systems
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies in pricing and implement improvements
  • Flag missing information, potential risks, or unclear scopes before estimates are sent
